La Casa Nueva (parte cuatro)
Okay, I am fully aware that this is not the most exciting installment of La Casa Nueva, but we found this awesome table and chairs at a yard sale this morning so we had to show it off. We couldn't show all the other parts of the house and then neglect to mention the dining space. Or for Isa's purposes, the "see how much pureed food we can spit and throw" space. The table even has a really cool folding insert (also tiled) underneath, which was the deciding factor for the daddy (mr. engineer).

La Casa Nueva (parte tres)
What better way to introduce the next installment of La Casa Nueva than with some wintery weather pictures! Yep, we are in the thick of a big Spring snowstorm here in the new house. It started snowing Tuesday night and it hasn't let up since. You can see from the two side shots that we have several feet accumulated on the roof. The spruce trees in front (which are HUGE and around 100 years old) are holding their own, though the massive lilac bushes in the backyard are laying really low under the weight of new blooms and so much snow.
On another note, we are feeling quite glad that we decided to move last weekend... and not this weekend. Phew.

La Casa Nueva (parte dos)
Here is the second installment of La Casa Nueva. Today we bring you Isa's room. It's bright, it's fun and Isabel sure seems to like it, atleast in the daytime! The flash doesn't really do the color justice... it's not pastel and it's not lime, but somewhere in between. Maybe we could call it Green Tea? Regardless, we are all enjoying the extra babyspace.

La Casa Nueva
Since this blog will only let me post 4 photos at a time, La Casa Nueva will be in installments! It's a lesson in patience, yes, and also a way to keep y'all coming back for more! So, in this installment we have the living room and (part of) the kitchen. Please excuse the crooked wall hangings, unpacked boxes, and general disheveled nature... we are still moving and unpacking! Some of you may notice that hot red paint, which was a carry-over from the last house. We just couldn't resist a red kitchen. As for the living room, it's a bit more on the bland side, but it does have a nice, calm feel to it-- assuming Isa isn't lying on the floor screaming of course, but that's a whole other post!
Up next... the bedrooms. Please stay tuned for more.

Movin' on up!
It's been a big week around here and it's only Wednesday! As of this afternoon, we are officially homeowners. And as if that we're not enough... Isabel will be SEVEN MONTHS tomorrow! Way to go kiddo! It's been a big month for all of us, but especially Isa. She has started eating solid foods, is doing her best to crawl, and is even sturdy enough to be carried on my side in the hippy sling! Mommy's right arm is very grateful for this last accomplishment. In keeping with the past weeks, our weekend will be full of craziness as well. Our goal is to be sleeping in the new house by Sunday night. So, as you can see in the background here, the packing has begun. Stay tuned for house pics in the coming days!

Swingy Springy
Another trip to the park today. Isabel has been in the swing a couple times now, and generally seems unimpressed. She likes to look around, but doesn't really get a kick out of it. She is good at it though...

Isa says:
Thank goodness tomorrow is Friday!
And next week we will be moving to the new house!
Or at least that's what the grown ups are saying.

Desert Baby
It was another weekend of warm winds and blue skies here in Wyoming. So we did what we do best... we went outside! Here are some pictures from Sunday's hike in Red Canyon. Isa's no stranger to this place, as we've been here before. But this time she was fully awake and quite pleased to be along for the ride. We have decided that she is never more content or at ease than when she is outside and on the move-- guess she comes by it honestly! In April we are headed down to Utah's San Rafael Swell for Isabel's first big canyons trip! So the hike in Red Canyon was a bit of a prep for that. Stay tuned for more...

A walk in the park...
Ah yes, Spring has sprung here in Lander. And Isa decided to celebrate with a trip to the park and a playdate with her buddy Skyler (5.5 months). A good time was had by all. Though Isa seems to be a bit of a toy hog, or just really quick with her hands... I see some lessons in sharing in our future! Activities included toy tug-of-war, rolling in the grass, and even trying out the swings. About the swings, well, I think it might be a bit premature. She liked it just fine, but the seat and the motion didn't sit well with her lunch!
