home sweet home

well, we finally made it back to the cowboy state. after a long two days of travel, full of weather delays and crazy turbulance, morning sickness, been-traveling-too-long-sickness, etc. we were very relieved to make it to our friend alex's house in denver last night, with a nice meal waiting for us and a soft bed for miss isa. today we made it back home and even managed to do a Home Depot run in the process (more on that later). the goose was a trooper, and while the flight to denver was not her most well-behaved, she made up for it on the long drive today. phil and i both remarked that this was the first "vacation" since isa was born that actually felt like a vacation! imagine that. so as hard as it was to leave, we are still glad to be home.

and here we are. we're relieved to find everything in ship shape around the house-- though we have alot of yard work to do now, as it rained a ton while we were gone! on a less happy note though, we were really sad to hear that our beloved neighbor pet O-dog died while we were away. we knew he was sick but had been relieved to see him doing much better when we left. but he took a turn for the worse and his owners decided to put him down. we are all sad to see him go. "O-dog" was isa's first word and the first thing she looked for every morning out the window. rest in peace buddy.

So glad you are all home and that you feel like you truly had a restful vacation...you deserve it.
Sorry about O-dog. It will seem strange for him not to always be right there in the yard every time
you go out. Ease back into your sewing and don't overdo it. Love and miss you all...XOXOXOX Miss Goosey.

Glad to see you are all home and refreshed! Blair, I'm sure your family was so glad to see you and your family and Miss Isa growing so much! She is such a "little girl".. I loved the pics and Nanny sent me some also. Vacations are funny, sometimes you are glad to get back to work and sometimes you wonder why it is you work so hard. I'm with Nanny, "ease on down the road"... love to all... see you end of July.
