has anyone ever tried to wrangle five babies, all under the age of two, for a photo shoot? i'll check that one off my list. done. today was photo shoot friday for mountain aven baby. fabulous local photographer kristy cardinal agreed to take some photos for the bizness, in exchange for some baby wares of her own. and man, was it crazy! there was a 7 months old, two nearly one year olds, a 20 month old, and a 2 year old. all enduring several wardrobe changes a piece. it was inevitable that some sets would get muddy and grass stained, and they did, but it was well worth it. i only caught a glimpse of two or three shots from her camera screen and they were GORGEOUS. seriously, gorgeous.
so now i am (impatiently) waiting to see all the shots! lord knows how many she took... five babies in twelve different outfits, in various places and poses. and what's more, as an added bonus for those who participated, we are getting a screaming (and i mean screaming) deal on any of the prints. feels like good karma huh? we must have done something right.
these pictures will eventually be loaded onto the etsy shop, in an effort to make the operation look more professional and to better represent the clothes themselves. boosted sales would be a bonus, too. although i haven't really figured out what to do when i come up with new designs and fabric? *scratches head* in the meantime, i will likely shift towards custom orders for the stuff she photographed, and then figure the rest out later.
so stay tuned for more. and maybe a sneek peak of some photos... if you're lucky ;-)

Can't wait to see these pics. They've got to be so very cute. Also, am interested in what a laptop sleeve is. I didn't see one on mountain aven baby. Will you have on shown there soon?
maybe, but i think the laptop sleeves will probably be a local, custom basis kind of thing. there are just too many laptop sizes to accomodate to sell them on etsy i think. basically it's a padded envelope of sorts (with quilting on the inside, cool fabric on the outside) that you use to protect and pad your laptop, with a fold over velcro flap along one side. the idea is to be small and not too bulky, as most people still you a laptop bag anyway.
