more fun with food...

while we're on the subject of food, we thought it was time for isa to show off some of her mad (utensil) skills. as we reported a previously, she's been using the fork and spoon for a while now. she gets a kick out of being a big kid and at the excitement of getting food from her tray, to her utensil, and then into her mouth. she will even take the initiative to grab the jar/cup/plate and start shoveling when no one is looking (we found this out on accident). so today she took her skills to another level with peas. she loves peas and she loves forks so it was almost a match made in heaven, except that peas are really hard to eat with a fork when you are 16 months old. but no matter, as eventually she reverted to either putting them on her fork (rather than spearing them with the tongs) or just eating with her fingers. either way, it was pretty amusing to watch and gratifying for all. video to come, but in the meantime, here is a little photo progression.

Thanks so much for these "big girl" pictures. Can't believe she
knows exactly how a fork works...
spearing those little suckers is
pretty tough. End results...she loves them and they got to her mouth.
